Think for a moment about your greatest outdoor adventure? Was it seeing a wild creature in a special place with your family and friends? Such memories enrich our lives and remain indelibly imprinted within us for a lifetime. We at the Welder Wildlife Foundation want the next generation to have these same opportunities, so we are dedicated to building the next generation of wildlife biologists and conservation leaders who will lead the way in managing wildlife and their habitats.
Our mission to conduct wildlife research and education is accomplished by ensuring the next generation of wildlife biologists and conservationists are well-prepared to tackle the conservation issues of the future. We accomplish this through providing graduate fellowships for students in the field of wildlife biology and management and by providing conservation education programming for thousands of children and adults each year. To date, we have funded over 350 wildlife biologists who careers are dedicated to wildlife conservation world-wide. Many of our education programs give individuals opportunities to see, experience, and learn about native wildlife and their habitats on our 7,800-acre Welder Wildlife Refuge in south Texas.
If you feel as strongly about conserving wildlife and building conservation leaders as we do, please support our mission by contributing to our efforts. Your donations to either our Research Fellowship Fund or Conservation Education Fund are greatly appreciated and tax deductible.
